Therapeutic Approach
You want to feel autonomy in your mental health, and yet you see a need for guidance. My approach to therapy is collaborative, flexible and goal oriented. When you come into a session, you should expect the support to take your treatment into the direction that you want. You can also take your treatment step-by-step in a more structured way. I am more than willing to meet a client where they are at so together, we can define what progress means, and achieve that progress as a team.
Specializations and Interests
My interests in the therapy world revolve around phobias, such as agoraphobia, obsessive compulsive disorder, as well as mood disorders, like depression and anxiety. I find working with people with these challenges to be the most rewarding experience for me as a therapist.
Biography
I became interested in becoming a therapist through the privilege of being a part of a service community in college. I worked with those with severe physical and intellectual disabilities, and the experience opened me up to the intricacies of the mind, and how it can persevere in the face of such severe challenges.
Before my time at the Chicago Institute for Change, I worked in private practice where I aided those in their mental health journey, tackling depression, anxiety, and histories of trauma with those who pursued my services.
In my free time, I love exploring new recipes to cook and bake, as well as exploring the city of Chicago to find the perfect cup of coffee.
